Crazy January Challenge 2011 - Project 5 Finished and Project 1 Update

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, it's been a super crazy time for me with work and life and everything else.

Project 5 was what I'm now calling my Horrific Hardanger, it was an awful kit, the fabric was a really rough and uneven weave, not great for a beginner! it was terrible to cut because it frayed so badly but I got there in the end, here is the result - full of mistakes but it is finished!

Here's the latest update on project 1, I've now completed half a page and I'm loving every stitch! The confetti has been trying at times but seeing the results more than makes up for it :)

I'm off to Glastonbury tomorrow so there won't be any stitching done this weekend, I'll be too busy getting muddy! :D

I admire your Horrific Hardanger greatly! I have never tried cut-work and the results are pretty spiffy to my eyes, although I can see what you're saying about the fabric. I hate it when fabric is hard to work with!

Congrats on your WIP too! I could never do all that confetti, but it's looking marvelous! Have lots of fun at Glastonbury this weekend (hope you take lots of pics)!

Well done on your finished hardanger! I've only ever done one so far and loved it, but I was working on hardanger fabric so that probably made it alot easier for me. I'm impressed that you kept at it with the difficult fabric and still made such a fab job of it!!

Great work!
